NYU CREATE lab | 1:30PM-3:15PM

The NYU CREATE lab (Consortium for Research and Evaluation of Advanced Technologies in Education) occupies a newly renovated 1,500 sq ft. loft that consists of a large multi-functional usability research and play-testing lab and a large open space for movement and gesture based research. This space is used for a variety of projects investigating the use of digital media for learning, including multimedia modules for surgery education, simulations for high school science, and games for middle school, high school and college mathematics. CREATE is also equipped with an eye-tracking and biometrics lab with a stationary SMI RED 500 eye tracker and BIOPAC MP150 system featuring wireless sensors for EEG, ECG, GSR, and respiration, as well as a posture sensor developed in-house.

Visitors will be given a brief overview of the research conducted in the lab, and will then have the opportunity to meet with developers and research assistants working on our research.
